A stay at Fontenille means savoring the authenticity of an exceptional terroir, exploring a historic vineyard, strolling through the gardens and enjoying unique experiences in the heart of Provence.

A vineyard since 1638

The Fontenille vineyard is one of the oldest in the Luberon, with the first traces dating back to 1638. For more than three centuries, on 40 hectares of vines, it has perpetuated a demanding winegrowing tradition, today enriched by practices that respect the environment and living things. Since 2016, the vineyard has been farmed organically, with minimal intervention to preserve the natural balance of the terroir and promote the authentic expression of the grape varieties. This commitment translates into elegant, pure wines that are representative of their environment, regularly rewarded in prestigious competitions.

On 40 hectares of vines, typical Provencal grape varieties - Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre for the reds, and Rolle, Grenache blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, Clairette for the whites - flourish on clay-limestone soil, benefiting from ideal sunshine and the Mistral wind, which naturally cleanses the grapes.

In 2018, Fontenille Wines won their first gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris. Since then, they have enjoyed growing recognition in the wine world.
